One of the great benefits of bespoke furniture – getting an extending table that makes the best possible use of the space you have.
This extending table was commissioned with very specific dimensions. In its smaller mode it had to fit in a specific space in the client’s kitchen, allowing room for everyday dining but also the space to walk around it. In extended mode the client wanted it to utilise all the available space they had. This is a common reason for hiring a bespoke furniture maker. You can make the best possible use of your space, everyday. So if you have a similar need then please get in touch. You can find out contact details at our contacts page.
For this one I found some beautifully coloured and figured british ash for the top. And the rich walnut ‘band’ right across its width adds modern snap to the design. The extending mechanism runs on beautifully engineered, super-smooth runners. In addition, the base design ensures that there’s never a table leg in the way for any of the diners.
The client was delighted with the results.
